Appliances For Sherbrooke & The Eastern Townships

Econoplus Sherbrooke, on King Street East, serves the city and the surrounding Estrie region with stoves and ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers and washer and dryer sets. Look for brands like Whirlpool, Frigidaire, Samsung, KitchenAid, Hisense and Kenmore, and check whether the model you want is also listed open box or refurbished for less.

Every appliance is sold as new, open box or refurbished. A new appliance has never been installed. Open box appliances cost less and may have cosmetic marks, which are pointed out when you inspect the unit. Refurbished appliances have been professionally restored and tested after previous use, and they cost less than new.

What Hookups Does Each Appliance Need?

Check what is behind your current appliances before you shop. Electric stoves and electric dryers run on a 240-volt circuit, and older homes may have a three-prong outlet where newer ones use four, so the power cord needs to match. Gas stoves and dryers need a gas line instead. A fridge plugs into a standard outlet, plus a water line if it has an ice maker or dispenser. A washer needs hot and cold water taps and a drain, and a dishwasher connects to the water supply and drain under the kitchen sink.

Buying On A Budget

For a fridge in a student apartment or a stove in a rental, open box and refurbished models keep the cost down. Bring your measurements, check any cosmetic marks pointed out on the unit, and decide whether they matter in the spot the appliance is going.

Student & First-Apartment Moves

For a student moving near the Université de Sherbrooke or Bishop's, or anyone setting up a first apartment in the Eastern Townships, one visit can cover the fridge, the stove and the laundry. Reserve the units online first so they are held together, and compare refurbished appliances against new to see how far the budget goes.
